SREE at CWIEME Berlin 2026
CWIEME Berlin, 19 to 21 May 2026 at Messe Berlin. Photos from our stand and the three requests we heard most: offline automatic stacking, wide slitting lines and special lamination shapes.
CWIEME Berlin is the main European meeting point for the coil winding, transformer and electrical machine industries. In 2026 it ran from 19 to 21 May at Messe Berlin, and SREE was there in Hub 27 with a stand presenting our transformer core cutting and stacking equipment. Our team for the three days was Ella Shi and Allen Feng from international sales, Pei Linlin from our engineering team, and Fenglun Zhang, International Business Director.
What we showed
The stand carried panels and videos for the full range: cut-to-length lines, slitting lines, stacking machines, core shop logistics and the SRJD cut-and-stack line, which cuts and stacks in one line and can stack two cores at the same time.
Who we met and what they asked about
Most of the visitors we sat down with came from India’s transformer and core-stamping industry, with others from Europe, North Africa and North America. Three requests came up again and again:
- Offline automatic stacking. Several core makers already cut on existing lines and want to automate the stacking step separately, with a stacker that can build both horizontal and vertical step-lap cores. Our stacking machines are described on the stacking line page, and step-lap patterns are explained in step-lap core cutting.
- Wide slitting lines. Plants moving to larger transformers asked about slitting lines for 1,250 mm master coils. See the slitting line page and slitting line vs cut-to-length line.
- Special lamination shapes. One stamping company needed a 300-class cut-to-length line for rectangular yokes with a shear that turns from 45° to 90°, a reminder that not every core is a standard mitred design.
The SRJD cut-and-stack line also drew questions about when cutting and stacking in one line makes sense and when a separate line is better. The longer answer is in cut-and-stack lines: when they make sense.
